RATES: are inclusive of VAT, collision damage waiver (CDW), comprehensive insurance (excluding excess), and unlimited mileage.

BOOKINGS: credit/debit card information is required on booking to cover the cost of the rental and the security deposit. Online bookings may incur an additional credit/debit card charge.

MINIMUM/MAXIMUM AGE: 21 yrs - 80 yrs (excess £500). Over 80 yrs on an idividual basis, or can be arranged on hirers own insurance.

DRIVING LICENCE: drivers must produce a current full driving licence held for at least 1 year. If the new U.K. photo card licence is held, drivers must also produce the paper document, which is part of the licence. Please advise our reservations department of any endorsements. Another form of photo ID is also required.

DRIVERS: Only approved drivers are permitted to operate the car, 1 driver is included in the price. An additional driver charge is £10 + VAT.

PAYMENTS: Must be made prior to or at the commencement of rental – all major credit cards accepted, excluding AMEX. The security deposit needs to be covered by a credit card and will be authorized at the beginning of the hire. If a debit card is used the security deposit amount will be charged at the beginning of the hire and refunded at the end of the hire if there are no outstanding charges. Ocean Ford cannot accept cash for the security deposit.

CDW: reduces the customers liability from the total cost of the damage to an excess amount, unless the driver intentionally causes the damage, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or uses the vehicle in a prohibited or negligent way e.g. driving off road or allowing other parties to drive the vehicle. An optional "Premium CDW" may be purchased on pick up to reduce the excess amount.

FUEL: Vehicles are provided with a specified amount of fuel for which the customer is charged. If you leave the vehicle at another location, other than the airport or garage, there should be enough fuel to drive the vehicle back to Ocean Ford. No refund is made for any fuel remaining at the end of rental. Under certain circumstances you may be asked to run the fuel on a same to same basis, in this situation there will be no fuel charge.

CHILD SEATS: are subject to availability.

RENTAL EXTENSIONS: the duration of your rental starts and finishes according to the pick- up and drop-off dates and times, which is calculated on a 24 hour basis. Extensions are subject to availability and providing our office is informed prior to expiry of the agreed rental period, so that the insurance cover may be extended.

DAMAGE: any damage to a rental vehicle needs to be reported to the rental office within 24 hours. If a vehicle is returned with damage, the customer is liable for the cost of any repairs which will be taken at the conclusion of the hire, up to and including the amount of the excess for each and every occurrence.

DROP-OFF: if a vehicle is not returned to Ocean Ford for check in, but is left at another location e.g. airport, sea terminal, hotel etc., it is left at the customer’s own risk, you are responsible for the vehicle until it is collected.

CHARGING CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS: AFTER SIGNING THE RENTAL AGREEMENT* YOU ARE GIVING OCEAN FORD AND THE BANK CARD PROVIDER, PERMISSION TO CHARGE YOUR CARD WITH MONEY PAYABLE BY YOU UNDER THESE TERMS TOGETHER WITH PROVISION FOR ANY DEPOSIT DEEMED NECESSARY. (* PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER SOME CIRCUMSTANCES THE RENTAL AGREEMENT MAY NOT BE SIGNED, IN WHICH CASE, THE RENTAL COMMENCES WHEN THE KEYS ARE HANDED OVER AND THE ABOVE CHARGES ARE STILL ENFORCED.)

VEHICLES CANNOT BE TAKEN OFF THE ISLE OF MAN WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM OCEAN FORD.

OCEAN FORD OPERATES A STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY, WHICH APPLIES TO ALL THEIR VEHICLES. IF SPECIALIST VALETING SERVICES ARE REQUIRED TO REMOVE THE EFFECTS OF SMOKING (EG ODOUR) A SUPPLEMENTAL CHARGE WILL BE APPLIED.
